Trimble Spectrum API and integration guide
Spectrum (formerly Viewpoint Spectrum) integrates through Spectrum Data Exchange: SOAP web services on the customer's server, controlled by an Authorization ID scoped to companies and services, with Basic or OAuth-based Enhanced authentication.

- Each service must be added to the Authorization ID; use one ID per integration so you can revoke and audit it separately.
- Get services return only what the operator's job security allows, with no error, which looks exactly like a sync bug.
- Enhanced authentication secrets expire; cache tokens, store the secret in a vault and give someone ownership of rotation.
